In the autumn of 1964, as a result of a government coup, Nikita Khrushchev, from the almighty master of the largest country in the world, suddenly turned into a pensioner forgotten by everyone. With shame and curses, he was expelled from the Kremlin. At the direction of the new leadership, headed by Leonid Brezhnev, the name of Khrushchev was deleted from history. But two years after the resignation, the former secretary general decided on a daring and risky step - he began to dictate his memories and thoughts on the tape recorder. What was he counting on? Who better than Khrushchev to know that those who replaced him would never allow the thoughts of the former leader of a great power to be heard in the country and in the world. Perhaps he hoped for a change - Perhaps, like in many other ways, he also wanted to be the first here - Khrushchev could leave written memories, but he understood that their reliability would always be in doubt. And he chose another option.

Marusya Burova (Antonina Divina), a young girl from a northern Russian town, clever and beautiful car racer, is going through hard times. Marusya has just buried her mother, who raised her all alone. Her mother's brother, uncle Vitya (Viktor Saraykin), persuades her to move in with him to Moscow. Among her mothers papers Marusya finds unsent letters to her only love, Marusyas father. Marusya decides to find her father. Three candidates fit the romantic descriptions from the old letters - “the three musketeers“ (Aleksey Zubkov), (Roman Indyk), (Anatoliy Gushchin) friends from their youth, who are now bind together with tough business relationship. Continuing the search, Marusya gets in the center of a turbid intrigue that could destroy the Musketeerss old friendship and, perhaps, seriously threatens the life of one of them.

Nikolai Kovaler, a retired Special Forces Major, is now living his life as a successful businessman. His cloudless existence is interrupted when there is an attempt on his life that seems to be connected with his past. As Nikolai unwinds the intricate tangle of circumstances, it becomes apparent that his old sworn enemy, crime boss Mykhas, is out to get him and his loyal companion Rimma. Kovalev begins searching for Mykhas. Rimma, an old friend who used to be in love with him, joins his search and proves to be very useful. Overcoming countless obstacles by using a whole arsenal of tricks and skills of the Special Forces, the combat duo draws closer to finding the crime boss's hideout. But along the way, they are also faced with questions like: When does one overstep acceptable boundaries? What is the price of victory? And what to do about the love that hits them again like a blast from the past?
